AN INTRODUCTION

What is Equine Facilitated Learning?

An introduction to the work, the herd, and what to expect.

What Is EFL?

In beautiful, secluded surroundings on the Gower Peninsula, The Soul Herd taps into the ancient wisdom of horses to offer personal development programmes for individuals or groups.

As prey animals, horses have an innate ability to tune in and read emotions intuitively — with subtle yet very clear body language, horses are able to hold space for us, without judgement, with clarity and clear direction. This therapeutic connection helps people to gain confidence, find their authentic voice, and lead from within.

“…horses are able to hold space for us, without judgement…”

Sessions are entirely immersed in nature in private surroundings with the free-roaming therapy herd in their natural environment — offering a sense of safety, privacy, and safe-space.

SESSIONS

What a session looks like.

Outdoors, always

Sessions take place outside, in the herd’s own natural environment on the Gower. Whatever the weather brings, we work with it.

No experience needed

You don’t need to have ridden a horse, owned a horse, or even spent much time around them. The work doesn’t involve riding.

Led by the horses

Most of the session is observational and reflective. The horses choose how and when to engage — we follow their lead.

Time to integrate

After the active part of the session, there’s quiet time to sit, reflect, and talk through anything that came up.

SESSIONS

Ready to take the next step?

Come along and meet the herd for a free WALK & TALK session to see if we can be of help to you, and to ask any questions you may have.

We also offer a FREE telephone call to outline what we offer and for a no-obligation quote.
